Un año en portadas || A year in covers.

Hoy terminamos con el año 2008 para dejar paso a un 2009 que, en cuanto a este blog, iniciaré con las respuestas a todas vuestras preguntas de la anterior entrada, en la cuál afortunadamente, habéis hecho muchísimas preguntas y creo que la primera actualización de 2009 vendrá bastante cargada.
De momento, para hacer la última actualización del 2008, año en que he creado este blog, entre otras muchas cosas, haré un repaso con algunas de las portadas que más me gustan de este año, una por mes. En algunos meses pondría varias portadas y hay meses que apenas encuentro una que me entusiasme un poco, pero yo creo que en líneas generales, todas estas portadas tienen una estética bastante buena. Para mi gusto, las mejores de cada mes.

En mi opinión, las revistas W, Harper's Bazaar, V y sobretodo ;-D, tienen las mejores portadas del año, no sólo las que aparecen aquí, sino el global de sus portadas. Como modelos a destacar: Gemma Ward, Lilly Donaldson, Lara Stone, Kate Moss, Abbey Lee y Daria Werbowy.

Siguiendo la idea de Missatlaplaya, surgida de otros blogs, yo también voy a intentar hacer un post de "Preguntas y Respuestas", aunque necesitaré de vuestra colaboración.
Se trata de que preguntéis todo lo que queráis (sobre mí, sobre moda, sobre lugares, sobre cocina, sobre celebrities, sobre mascotas o sobre lo que sea, CUALQUIER COSA) y en mi próximo post publicaré todas las preguntas con mis respuestas. Podéis hacer tantas preguntas como queráis y tan diversas como se os ocurran (las preguntas de mal gusto evidentemente son improcedentes y no serán contestadas).

Madonna, Vuitton, Kate, Vogue...

Estas son las imágenes de la campaña de primavera/verano de Louis Vuitton, en la que como todos sabíamos, aparece la diva por excelencia: Madonna. El fotógrafo ha sido Steven Meisel, casi fotógrafo personal de Madonna, ya que su gran amistad les ha llevado a trabajar juntos en numerosas ocasiones. La reina del pop aparece luciendo las prendas de Vuitton y por supuesto lo bien que se conserva para sus 50 años. Las fotos fueron realizadas en Los Ángeles, pero se trató de realzar el estilo parisino de la marca francesa.


Esta misma marca encabeza, por cierto, la lista de las marcas más codiciadas. A la marca francesa la acompañan en el podio Gucci y la también francesa Chanel. Por su parte, Prada se halla en octavo lugar, por encima de Bulgari, en el décimo puesto, y de Dior, en el doceavo para sorpresa de algunos. Otras marcas en el top 10 son Rolex, Cartier o Tiffany.

Hablando de Bulgari cabe recordar a Kate Moss, quien apareció guapísima en una campaña magnífica para no olvidar, aunque también considerablemente retocada. La modelo británica fue sorprendida con una droga afrodisíaca conocida como Buzz. No obstante, no todo son noticias sobre los flirteos de Kate con las drogas, ya que la edición china de la revista Vogue la premió esta misma semana como Fashion Icon. En esta gala se codeó con otras celebrities como Jessica Stam, Sasha Pivovarova o Eugenie Niarchos, por nombrar algunas.

En esta portada de Vogue se van apreciando los efectos del retoque fotográfico, el maquillaje menos es más de los 90, el estilo formal y elegante pero a su vez moderno (muy adecuado a los 90: elegancia y modernidad) y en la modelo se ve reflejada a una mujer segura, la mujer que nos están vendiendo desde entonces: firme y con la autoestima bien alta. Dirigiendo Vogue Paris por segundo año, Joan Juliet Buck, en mi opinión una gran contribución para acercar a Vogue a la modernidad.

Disney sensation Miley Cyrus reveals a move to London may be on the cards!
Miley Cyrus has revealed she is considering moving to the UK to go to university.
The singer said that she has been inspired by Annie Leibovitz, the photographer behind her controversial Vanity Fair photoshoot earlier this year.
"I got to work with an amazing photographer. Leibovitz was amazing and so talented. That's what I want to do with my life. I would love to work with her again," she told celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. "I want to come to London to study photography. I hear there are some really great art schools, so I would love to do that."
Perhaps the Disney starlet was persuaded after her recent visit to London at the weekend, where Cyrus performed her new single '7 Things' live on The X Factor.
Watch out London, it looks as though Hannah Montana fever is about to sweep the nation!



Después de contar la noticia, hablaré del personaje. Su verdadero nombre es Destiny Hope Cyrus, pero se le conoce como Miley Ray Cyrus. Sus padres eran músicos y le llamaron Destiny Hope porque creían que de ella vendrían grandes éxitos. (En inglés, Destiny Hope quiere decir "destino y esperanza". Más tarde se le comenzó a llamar Miley porque sonreía mucho (smiley) y lo de Ray proviene de su padre, Billy Ray Cyrus.
En el año 2003 debutó en la gran pantalla de la mano de Tim Burton con la película Big Fish. Posteriormente apareció en varios vídeos musicales y tras presentarse a varias audiciones para la factoría Disney, finalmente consiguió el papel de Hannah Montana en la serie titulada bajo el mismo nombre. Puesto que en ella interpreta a una cantante, tras el éxito de esta serie comenzó a actuar como Hannah Montana para Disney, hasta lanzar con Walt Disney Records un disco realizado como Hannah Montana que llegó incluso a tener su secuela (Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus). Este mismo año ha sacado a la venta su propio disco, como Miley Cyrus, del cuál ya se está oyendo muchísimo el single "7 things".
En Estados Unidos se ha convertido en toda una celebridad. En 2007 pasó a ser la artista juvenil mejor pagada. El icono adolescente por excelencia, un ídolo de masas. Aparentemente todo el mundo cree que es Hannah Montana, una niña dulce y divertida. Lo cierto es que no se aleja tanto, pues es bastante simpática y risueña, no suele tener diferencias con la prensa y es bastante correcta. No obstante, no es exactamente Hannah Montana. La revista Vanity Fair publicó recientemente unas fotos bastante comprometidas de Hannah (bajo estas líneas una de ellas, la reconoceréis fácilmente) y Hugh Hefner la invitó a posar para Playboy cuando sea mayor de edad, porque a todo ésto, no sé si he mencionado que cumplío los dieciséis años hace apena una semana. Incluso andan circulando por Internet varias fotos de Miley en una actitud bastante sugerente.
Y en su estilo Miley también se diferencia de Hannah Montana. Hannah es rubia, lleva mechas de colores (que han causado furor y han conseguido su propio marketing), acostumbra a vestir de colores llamativos y siempre va impecable. Sin embargo, Miley tiene una preciosa melena oscura, muy larga y que suele llevar en estilo desenfadado, viste con pantalones y botas, bolsos grandes, prendas básicas y no demasiados complementos.
Además, Miley ha pasado a ser un icono de estilo para muchas adolescentes, algo que no entiendo, puesto que ella viste como cualquier otra. Ni mejor, ni peor. No critico su estilo ni tampoco lo adulo.
En definitiva... ¿podéis comprender el fenómeno Hannah-Miley? ¿Qué opináis de ella? ¿Y de su estilo? ¿Qué te parece que quiera dejar de lado toda su carrera para dedicarse a la fotografía? Eso es todo por hoy, un producto -de tantos- de la factoría Disney.

Nevertheless, Miley has a beautiful very long, dark lock and she uses to going in carefree style, dresses with trousers and boots, big purses, basic clothes and not too many complements.
In addition, Miley has happened to be an icon of style for many teenagers, something that I don't understand, 'cause I think that she dresses like any other one. Not better, not worse. I neither criticize her style I nor flatter it either.
