New Generations Style: Alexa Chung.

Pantalones pitillo, Wayfarer sin cristales, bolsos de marca, shorts, botines y cinturas altas. Bien, esto es para mí el estilo de Alexa Chung sintetizado, no obstante, Alexa se ha convertido ya prácticamente en un icono de estilo para muchísimas fashionistas e incluso aparece en algunas listas de las mejor vestidas. Puedo comprender que sea muy adecuada vistiendo, y que no cometa errores, pero no alcanzo a comprender porque se ha tenido una especial fijación con ella, porque desde mi punto de vista solo es una chica delgada más con el típico estilo desenfadado que, en realidad, está totalmente estudiado, y como ella hay muchas (dentro de las que se lo pueden permitir, pero hay muchas). En definitiva, me gustaría que todas aquellas que os hayáis convertido en fans de Alexa en los últimos tiempos me ofrecierais una razón por la cuál yo debería verle también como un icono de estilo. Y aquellos que no le conocíais ¿qué opináis? ¿Os gusta?

Ok, this is for me a resum of Alexa’s Chung style, but she has became a style icon during the last times, but even she doesn’t dress bad, I think that there are a lot of posh and rich bad girls that dress like her, so I would like to know why the people has had a special fixation with Alexa. This question is for all the Alexa’s fashion fans: why her? And for all the people that didn’t meet her, what do you opine? Do you like her style?

Estas son algunas de las estrellas que hemos visto durante esta semana desfilar por la carpeta roja y las fiestas del 62 Festival de Cine de Cannes. Este festival es a su vez un gran acontecimiento dirigido a turistas y gente interesada por las fiestas, el lujo y la exclusividad, y un importantísimo festival de cine al que cada año se presentan más de 2000 películas, aunque son pocas las que finalmente pueden contar con el prestigio que conlleva estrenarse en este festival. Este año España se ha colado en el festival de la mano de Almodóvar con la película “Los abrazos rotos”. También ha sido bastante esperado el estreno de “Inglorious Basterds” de Quentin Tarantino. Aunque por supuesto abundan las estrellas del cine, seamos realistas: ¿por qué vemos entonces a la chica Playboy Victoria Silvstedt, a la herederísima Paris Hilton o a modelos como Doutzen Kroes? Supongo que no puedo responder yo a esa pregunta, pero al menos podemos deleitarnos con lo que visten. Como siempre, tras un post de este tipo solicito sólo una cosa: ¡opiniones!

Even I don’t know why if it is a film festival there are Playboy girls, models and heiresses, I know that this festival is a great meeting to enjoy with the spectacular dresses that all the stars wear so, of course, I want to know your favorites and most hateable! Opine!

New Generations Style: Katy Perry

Hoy otra estrella que saltó a la fama hace apenas una año, aunque no creo que esta necesite carta de presentación, pues todos sabemos que u are so gay and she kissed a girl and she liked it. Ella es, como bien sabéis, la británica Katy Perry. A la par que recopilaba imágenes para este post pensaba: es una mezcla entre un estilo pin-up colorido y Lily Allen. Poco me ha sorprendido, pues, hallar después de pensar esto una imagen con Dita Von Teese y Lily. Además, con esta segunda tiene aún más en común: ambas son británicas y todos las conocemos porque un día decidieron crear un perfil en Myspace. Su estilo no es el tipo de estilo que sirva para copiarlo y vestirlo por la calle, pero no se puede negar su originalidad. Es ese tipo de estilo que te puede encantar o repeler totalmente. A mí me hace gracia, me resulta algo diferente y pienso que ver una imagen de Katy siempre tiene, como mínimo, gran curiosidad. Color, estilo pin-up, monos, corsés… todo radical y sin miedo a las críticas, pues al fin y al cabo, alguien que viste como ella no pretende que le alaben por ser como todos los demás. ¿Qué opináis vosotros?

Today another star that brang to fame just a year ago, although I don’t think she needs a presentation, ‘cause all we know that you are so gay and she kissed a girl and she liked it. She is, as all you know, the British singer Katy Perry. While I was taking pictures to make this post I was thinking: “is a mix between a coloured pin-up and Lily Allen”. So I haven’t been very surprised when I’ve found, after thinking that, a photo with Dita Von Teese and Lily. Overmore, with this second she’s got more things in common: they both are British and they’re famouse because some day they decided to create a profile on Myspace. Her style is not the kind of style that is useful to copy it and dress it on the street, but we can’t say that it’s not full of originality. Is the kind of style that you just can love or hate. I like it because I think it’s funny and different and I opine that look a picture of Katy always has, at least, big curiosity. Colour, pin-up style, short playsuits, corsets… everything radical and with no fear to the rejection. But I think that a person who dresses like Katy don’t pretend to be adorated for being like all the people. What do you think?
